After engaging in intellectual property (IP) operations for approximately 20 years at the central research institute of a major automotive manufacturer group, Tomoaki MORIOKA transitioned into managing IP strategic planning and promotion. In the role of Head of the Intellectual Property Management Department, Tomoaki MORIOKA successfully implemented IP management that bridged R&D with corporate management.
Leveraging this extensive corporate experience, Tomoaki MORIOKA has also supported numerous startups as a mentor for "IPAS"—a startup support program organized by the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and INPIT—and as an expert for VC-IPAS, ultimately receiving the Encouragement Award in the Startup Supporter Category at the 5th IP BASE AWARDS.
